You want your voice to be heard, right? In a "Representative Republic" we elect "representatives" and/or "delegates" to carry our voice to Boise, or Washington. We expect them to do just that: stand for our principles as outlined in the Republican Party Platform.
What happens when your delegates don't show up? And instead go to a rodeo, or take up other personal business, after you and I elected them to do a job? Would you re-hire someone if they did not show up to work for you?
In 2008, Twin Falls County "Republicans" elected 16 Delegates AND 16 Alternates to represent Magic Valley residents at the state convention. Idaho House District 24 also is allocated 3 Delegates and 3 Alternates. Twin Falls County Republicans thus elected 38 Delegates. The Delegates purpose is to propose resolutions, changes to the platform and appoint new leadership. Pretty important maintenance for a political party in a free state like Idaho.
If a Delegate is not able to attend, the "alternates" take their place.
Well, in 2008, the Twin Falls County Republicans fought back dozens of willing delegates from being elected. Check out these videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/Idahorokon#p/u/4/bs83q-NCCfU showing the deliberate shut-out of conservative candidates in favor of the establishment's brothers and sisters, spouses and children.

Only 9 Delegates of 38 attended (16 County Primaries + 16 County Alternates + 3 District Primaries + 3 District Alternates), so in effect, this "republican" central committee shut out dozens of willing conservative supporters so they could send a mere 24% of our elected delegates to represent you. Sad.
But there is good news. At this State Convention, due to the low turn out AND our wins in other Idaho Counties, our truly conservative message was propelled with a change in the Party Platform to support abolishing the Federal Reserve (a 1913 Woodrow Willson progressive era nightmare).
Buhl resident, Rick Martin, who was one of those shut-out of at the Republican County Convention, did attend the conference, though only as a "guest". Martin made national headlines when he yelled out "Freedom" upon passage of the new Party Platform wording.
So, I suppose we could just keep the same people in who will continue to under-represent Twin Falls voters at these State Conventions, or we can boot them out in May and get the principles of a "Representative Republic" back into our County! We say: "Support the Restoration!"
